Please help me with my Neighbors?
I live in Natick, Massachusetts and I share my drive way with a business. Our drive way is split half way up by a fence. But, the other half is located off a main street and when anyone pulls into our driveway they pull into our side before being able to pull into the business’ side. The business has maintenance workers (landscape people?) that come every month and blow leaves, dirt, and trash from their property into our driveway and under our front porch. Last month they blew broken glass into our driveway! Also, in the winter their snow plow pushes the snow into our driveway. Is this illegal, or a violation of any sort of law? Is there anything I can do (i.e. call the police, or the town) to stop this? I’ve talked to the business about this but they are so rude and don’t care. And their business sign is at the end of the driveway surrounded by so much landscape (bushes, trees, plants…) so I can’t back out of my driveway onto the main street because I can’t see around their sign, so I have to go through their parking lot and out onto a side street when I need to leave.
Thanks for your help!
Oh, the reason I told you about people pulling into our side of the drive way first is because one of their customers scraped my vehicle one day when it was parked at the very end of MY driveway because they couldn’t turn directly into the business’ side of the driveway. I didn’t file a claim, but I had parked my 3rd car in their parking lot late at night (after 10pm and I move it before 8am) so that it doesn’t get hit when no ones around (awake) to notice. The business threatened that if I continue to park in their lot that they will have me towed.
And as for parking on their property, it’s not every night. Only 1 night during the business week and again on Saturday night.

I suppose a question would be does the company own or lease the building? If they lease it perhaps you can track down the building owner and work with them to resolve your issuses. Your city may have a code enforcement officer who can determine if their sign and landscaping violates the zoning requirement if it is a threat to citizens by blocking sight to the roadway.
They have every right to tow you if you park on their property every nite, even if no one is there.

Proven Method to Car Road Noise in my back yard ?
We’ve been in our home in FL for a few years now, and the road behind our back yard was recently expanded to 4 lanes. The road noise has now increased tremendously, where it’s stressful and difficult to enjoy our backyard pool area.
Does anyone have suggestions on how to greatly reduce this problem?
Our existing trees, bushes and landscaping don’t seem to help.
Are there any other options out there besides a white vinyl fence ?

Suntan answers:
Install noise reduction panels.
