how do you build a porch with landscape timbers and lattice?
Took old porch off, Lattice was sitting inside groove in the landscape timbers. Bought new landscape timbers, but they have no groove. Don’t have router to make groove. Need to find an alternative way. Lattice was sitting in top and bottom of timbers.

Do you know your neighbours well? Do they have tools? How about approaching one of the handier ones, and explaining your problem…maybe he has a router that could be used to make the grooves you need for your lattice? It would certainly be worth a try, anyway.

can i use landscape timbers to put a skirting around my house?
i need to put a skirting around my house for insurance purposes, and dont like that cheap looking vinyl skirting available. i was wondering if i could stack up landscape timbers around my house, and if so how would i attach them together? has this ever been done? the highest point of my house is 20 inches.

The only drawback will be termites. Wood against dirt is a really bad idea. Its like an invitation for rot and creepy crawlies.

Are landscape timbers safe to use for building a raised bed for vegetable gardening?
The tag says they are “treated to rejection” Does this type of pressure treated landscape timbers have toxins that will leach into our soil and will the vegetables grown in that area be unsafe to eat?
The timbers are Micropro AC2 if that means anything to anyone

I’m not an expert so I don’t know what “treated to rejection” means but pressure treated generally means chemically treated against insects. So I would assume used in a garden would be about the same as spraying for insects. So here’s a site with articles that might help you decide.
