where can i dispose of landscape rock?
I have 2-3 tons of 2″ river rock, and 3-4 tons of “natural stone” ranging from 6″ (20 lbs.) up to 2+ ft. (200+ lbs.). I have no idea where to get rid of it. Any suggestions?

What area do you live in? We have been looking for lots of rocks for a short wall we want to build in our yard. We’d be more than happy to pick up, if we’re not too far away.

Where is a good and cheap place to buy rocks, bricks, stones in houston, tx?
I’m planning to do some landscaping for my yard, and I need lots of rocks, bricks, and stones but I’m not sure where I can get these for cheap. I have limited budget, I thought about hire someone to do it, but couldn’t find any affordable one. Therefore, i decide to do it myself if i could save a lot of money. if anyone know where is a good place to buy these, please let me know. Lowes and Homedepot sell one small bag of rock for like 5 bucks..and each brick/stone cost much more there.

Have you considered trying Craigslist and/or Freecycle in your area?
You would be surprised what you can get for free. Plenty of earth concious people trying to prevent useable items from being sent to the landfill.
I’ve seen gravel, dirt, rocks, railroad ties, bricks (landscaping & construction), etc. Being offered on Freecycle.
Check it out first. I provided links below.
Next option would be to call the gravel or rock yards. In bulk it’s a lot cheaper than by the bay.
Moving it is another story. Once you get it dumped in your yard/drive/street you have to shovel and haul itto where you want it. That’s a labor intensive task for one person. I hope you can get friends to help.
