Your Questions About Landscape Blocks Prices

Ken asks…

landscaping job price to high or low…?

Planting 30 arborvities in her front lawn to block off the front street traffic, and privacy etc. about 30 trees 4ft high, I have to dig holes etc, and plant them all spaced apart. what should I charge, I figured about roughly $150.00

Suntan answers:

I agree with all the other posters here. Ain’t worth gettin’ out of bed for $150. For 30 trees. That’s only five bucks a tree for YOUR labor. Plus you’re going to have to space ‘em evenly and make sure they aren’t eventually going to hinder pedestrian traffic on the sidewalk. One thing you may want to consider: rent a one man gas auger. Beats the hell out of diggin’ holes with a shovel.
I’d charge 6 – 800 for this job plus the trees. And like another poster said – ‘don’t sell yourself short’.

Linda asks…

IF you ask me?

I propose Congress pass a bill forcing all the States that line the coastal USA begin building Wind Turbines to lower this countries needs on import oil or lost some of their Fed. money to that State.
No one should complain about the price of gasoline and the profits the Oil companies are making today. When most of the States that line the coastal USA fight not having their shore-line marked with Wind Turbines.
The economic would be a lot better off if these coastal States was spending money on building wind turbines and not so worried about the view that wind turbines will uglify the landscape. Leaving us to suffer $3.50 per gal. gas prices, even higher prices in the future.
How American is it to make us all suffer this just for tourism. And for me the strange thing is the States that do have coastal wind turbines have them so far out-at-sea that they are hardly noticeable standing on the shore or beach.
High-rise Hotel’s block the view and access to the beaches and shore line
High-rise Hotel blocking the view and access to the beaches and shore lines but, they are given permitts okay. But a Wind Turbine some 2-3 miles off-shore is bad for business.

How about it, wouldn’t this help reduce oil import?
Fed blackmail is the only way all the people get to benefit and not be excluded. Like the mandate rule that all school receiving Fed monies must meet a efficiency standard or be taken over by the Feds or closed entirely that‘s blackmail but it is the law of the land now. Freedom is not free. I need my State’s tax money blackmailed so that the entire country will no longer have to pay so large a percentage out of our wkly pay checks for imported oil.

Suntan answers:

Sounds absolutely fantastic. Unfortunately, oil companies will try everything in their power to wrap this up in red tape.

Daniel asks…

Would you surport this idea today?

I wrote this 2 yrs. ago here on Yahoo Answers, so here is my question: Would you support this idea today?

I wrote this 2 yrs. ago here on Yahoo Answers and it was tilted “IF You Ask Me” goes like this:

I propose Congress pass a bill forcing all the States that line the coastal United States to begin building Wind Turbines to lower this countries needs on import oil or lost some of their Fed. money to that State.
No one should complain about the price of gasoline and the profits Oil companies are making today. When most of the States that line the coastal United States are fighting so hard not to have their shore-line marked with Wind Turbines.
The economic would be a lot better off if these coastal States was spending money on building wind turbines and not so worried about the view that, “wind turbines will uglify the landscape“. Which leaves us to suffer $3.50 per gal. gas prices, even higher prices in the future.

How American is it, to make us all suffer this just for tourism. And for me the strange thing is, the States that do have coastal wind turbines have them so far out-at-sea that they are hardly noticeable standing on the shore or beach.
High-rise Hotel’s block the view and access to the beaches and shore line anyway. But they (High-rise Hotel’s) are given permits. But a Wind Turbine some 2-3 miles off-shore is bad for business and uglifies. I fall short when it comes to the idea ‘if you have the money and I don’t, I’m willing to pay more for your happiness, rich and well-off 1 percenter’s yea, I fall real short on that one!

How about it, wouldn’t this help reduce oil import!
Would Govt. blackmail be to high a price for fuel freedom!
Would it be so bad to have more of your pay-check left in your pocket.
What say you?

Suntan answers:

Who is “making you suffer for tourism”? Did the government stop you from erecting your own wind turbine?

Earn some money; try to save it in a *bank*. Then, when you have enough you can put up your very own wind turbine on your very own land.

Oh wait, that would involve you actually doing something instead of trying to control others.
