How do I write, paint or etch words into bricks or blocks?
I have been planting an assortment of trees around a private park and playground and want to label each variety with a landscape block or a brick that permanently has the name on it. How to do it???

How to attach sandstone blocks for landscaping border on a slope?
i want to go 3 courses high as a landscape border. each “block” is about 5″ thick and about 12″ long. the sandstone was salvaged from leftover house siding and is SOFT. how to join them together vertically? also, the land is not flat.

I’d recommend digging out the spot and using a sand bed to lay the stone on. If it’s soft, you probably are going to have to tolerate a fair amount of waste from breakage. That said, I’d probably lay them dry and with enough spacing to allow drainage through them.
