Landscape Design Software w/ horses in mind?
Does anyone know of a good (preferably free) Landscape Design Software program that we can use to design a Equestrian / Equine (horse) facility? Something that can work with 500 acre sites? We are working with a horse rescue and need good software to present our ideas for expansion. PLEASE HELP!

Google Sketch Up.
It’s free, as long as you don’t use it for commercial purposes in which case you have to buy SketchUp Pro, and very easy to use. Also, has a massive online following with heaps of free models. I am sure there will be plenty of horses and horse paraphernalia available.
I use it all the time for engineering sketches and plans.

There are some available . They are adequate but not great. Google sketchup is one. This site will give you a list.

What free software is good (and very easy) for creating CGI and/or CGI landscapes?
I’m making a short film, and it will have a couple scenes with a “post-nuke Iraq.” (Iraq after a nuclear explosion) I will be using a green screen, but need a way to create the new “post-nuke Iraq” background. I also need to create a forest and a beach with that software. Some standards of the software include;
1.) It must be 100% FREE
2.) It must render and/or export into AVI file format
3.) It cant be a demo version (No demo limitations such as; No saving/rendering, 30 day trial, etc.)
