What is a good landscaping company for the cedar hill area.. Must be hgtv type..?

My mom recently bought a house and I wanted to find a outdoor designer/ landscaping company that can help her design her perfect backyard… Backyard will include pergula, basketball court, BBQ pit, and pool with a retaining wall or maybe not a wall… Idk that’s why im asking for help.. Thanks

what software can i use to design our backyard..?

I would like a layout program that will allow me to map the yard, pool, house……then tools that allow me to plot out landscaping options…..hardscape around the pool, concrete walks, or pavers, plants, bbq. I’m good with the computer, but I’m not learning Auto CAD for this……I need something less complex. If a plan could be imported into Auto CAD that would be terrific.

How much will it cost to add a master suite including bath onto my house?

I live in Dallas, TX in a 3250 sq ft 1969 ranch-style house and have been looking into updating my master bath. However, every contractor and designer I’ve talked with is having a difficult time getting a bathtub & shower to fit as well as enclosing the toilet in it’s own private closet without moving it, which will require drilling into the slab. I also wanted to update the closet storage, which is poorly designed but probably adequate in size. The estimates I have received so far range between 30k and 50k for the bathroom project and may include the closet on the upper end. It occurred to me that I may be able to build a master suite up instead and use my current master bath and room as a game room and pool bath since it is adjacent to the backyard. I realize it may cost more than 50k, but it will also add sq ftg and value to the house, right? If anyone out there able to provide an informed & thorough answer to this question, I certainly would be appreciate it.

Small in-ground pool or swim spa?

I have a small backyard, but my family really wants a pool. Well, we’re divided: half want a pool (even a small one) and half want a hot tub. In any case, if we get a pool I want an inground one (so one of those inflatable pools is not an option for us–I hate the look and my town is cracking down on fences for them), with a graduated bottom (so little kids can get in safely). But then again, a hot tub is nice too. We can’t afford or make space for both.

So I looked at so-called Swim Spas. I like their sizes, easy installation, and that they can be disassembled if we move. But they all seem to have flat bottoms and be really designed more for exercise. We’re looking for family fun and relaxation.

Any suggestions? Do other options exist? I’d love to hear from others who have installed either small pools or swim spas. Thanks!

I asked Mr Rudds office, but they listened in silence and just hung up on me.
I told them I would look after him and feed him and take him for walk…erm….swimmies every day.

Where we live, he could get around by simply leaping from one backyard pool to the next and that way, he could travel for miles.
I even designed a beaut water bed for him to sleep in. Well, its a beeeeeeeeeed actually.

It goes all the way down the street and around the corner.

Washing him would be no problem either. I would just borrow Greg Normans boat trailor (have you seen his boat?) and take him down to the whale wash.

Also, when he grew up, he would be invaluable in a security role.

By strapping on a Riccaro bucket seat and wearing a scuba outfit, (me,not him) we could roam the Aust. coastline looking for baddies to apprehend.

Talk about a low maintenance Collin class submarine. With him submerged and me with my spear gun, Coke bottles and packet of armour penetrating Mentos, we could rule the waves.
Can you imagine the look on the baddies faces when they see this crazy guy at sea bombing along on a bucket seat in flippers and attack Mentos while peeing 20 metres into the air?

Aargh……the dastardly loss to mankind, fellow Aussies.

You are to design and draw the landscape for the backyard of your new home. Also,you are to calculate the cost of sodding the backyard. Consider the following in your design and calculations:

1. Your backyard is rectangular with dimensions 60ft by 40ft.

2. There will be an in-ground pool,also rectangular in shape,with dimensions 20feet by 12 feet. You may place this pool anywhere in the yard,but local laws requires that it is at least 3 feet from the edge of the yard.

3. Also there is going to be a circular flower garden. This garden will be 6 feet in radius. Again, you may place this garden anywhere in the yard.

4. The sod should cover all of the yard except,of course the garden and pool areas. The sod costs $9.25 per square foot,and is only sold by the square foot(no fractional part of a square foot). You may need to round up to the nearest foot.

5. The wooden fence you plan to buy should stand around the perimeter of your yard and costs $30 per foot.
