The step thing to consider while planning a bulb garden is a careful selection of the bulbs as usual. While choosing the bulbs one should look for bulbs that are in good condition and they should not be moldy or soft. Many varieties are available at retail stores and garden centers but one should always keep in mind that larger bulbs would always produce larger flowers. Once the bulbs are selected carefully the next thing to do is to plant them properly. Bulbs should always be planted in a sunny location when underground soil temperatures reach approximately 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Bulbs can easily be incorporated amongst other flowers this will keep any flower garden blooming all season. Another important point to be remembered while planting bulb is that it should be planted at a depth of three to four times the height of the bulb in well worked and loose soil. A one inch bulb should be planted approximately three to four inches deep it is recommended putting a little sand in the bottom of the hole to improve the drainage. Once after the plantation the bulbs needs nutrition for the extra boost they need to produce beautiful, healthy flowers.
